Dear 's boss,

     I am writing to ask you to excuse  from work
for the next little while.   has trench foot 
and the unreasonable requests at your office are making 
 very ill.  I'm afraid that silliness may develop.

 will be in hospital for a few days to 
recover from the terrible effects of this illness.
